During the debate, I wanted Edwards to...
Edited on Wed Oct-06-04 06:19 AM by slor
smack cheney on the back of his head. I mean I really, really wanted it. But he did not do it. Should that mean that he lost the debate, in my opinion? Hell no, He still WON. Some here expected Edwards to say this or that. He covered all the things he needed to folks. That cheney voted against the same weapon systems as Kerry, the illegal activities of halliburton, and he even said a Kerry/Edwards team would not have gone to war. I needed to hear that most of all. He rocked folks, plain and simple.

1. I think what we're seeing this AM from many of the "sorry, DC won"
folks is a revival of their own disappointments in the primary or misguided belief that their candidate would have done a lot better. While most of us have moved on in a very positive way, the debates provide an opportunity for those who still can't accept Kerry-Edwards' war votes, Patriot Act involvement, good hair, etc., etc., etc., now get a chance to give us their "honest" views about the rhetoric in the debates, i.e., to get in more little digs. Obviously this is not true of everyone who thinks DC won, and certainly not true of everyone who had aspects of the performances that they criticize. But I think it's the main factor for a lot of people.

3. Who is DC?
Washington DC? Direct Current? Damn Conservatives?
Spell it out. dick cheney.

There are way too many people here that confuse things by not taking the time to spell things out. The message sometimes gets lost because the readers have to stop and guess at what is being said.
