Edit: I believe you need a free registration to view the site.

There were no WMD's and Saddam had diminishing capabilities to create them at the time of the invasion.

How will they spin this?

1. But, but, but . . .
He wanted to have them & use them against us!!

Our media is so lame, so weak. They smell bad, real bad.

Kerry better do something about the media first thing in office, cuz it's our biggest problem.

2. "Terror alert! Terror alert! Terror alert!"
We'll be getting "breaking news" about non-specific threats any day now.

3. Sadam gave all the technology and WMD's to alQueda
That could be their spin. Thus fabricating that link.

4. yes, but
Sure, his capacities may have been diminishing at the time, but he really really really wanted WMD really badly. I mean, eventually he could have started planning WMD programs and, by the time he actually got around to developing WMD programs, implementing the WMD program and actualy making WMD, he'd be country #125 with them. I mean, how could we not invade?

5. Is There Such A Thing As Too Much Bad News?
This stuff is flowing like a torrent right now.

All these landminds exploding:

- No WMD...definitive report
- Bremmer: not enough troops
- Rushbo: Get ready for the indictment
- Bunnypants falls apart emotionally
- Rummy admits no Al Queda/Iraq connection...totally contradicts Crashcart
- Economy still tanking bad
- Alawi: Things getting worse

Where does one start? The sad part is the mess that either will have to be cleaned up, or will get even worse.

8. Are you saying we'd be safer with Saddam in power?
That just shows he lacks the capacity to be commander in chief. Thats waht they'll say.
