"October Surprise" seems more likely with each passing day...
Edited on Wed Oct-06-04 04:22 PM by Zinfandel
The momentum has clearly shifted away from BushCo.

The debates, all the DVD's (Fahrenheit 9/11, Hunting of the President, Greg Palast, etc.) exposing Bush's lies, the WMD report, AAR, MoveOn.org, huge new voter drives, new exposing web sites popping up everyday, even television, (Real Time, Daily Show, etc.) The print media is becoming more scathing each day of BushCo., lifelong republican's coming out against Bush, The horrors of the Iraq invasion accelerating tragedy, ineptness and chaos is front page news everyday...and now we are finally getting to the economic & environmental reality in this country and BushCo doesn't have a leg to stand on. (What, the Bush's tax breaks for the wealthy and the corporations?)

These republican fascist will become more desperate with each passing day as we get closer to Nov. 2nd...we are already seeing the increase of their lies, smears and distortions, that the republican owned corporate media reports as truths.

The corporate, greedy, lying, hateful republicans are NOT going to just lie down go away with a true and accurate vote count. We all know this.

I do expect some bullshit "October Surprise" (What will it be?) And then the distracting smoke screen, as they will then attempt to steal the election, AGAIN!

6. My thought too...

Seems the most logical...even if it's really NOT bin Laden, a double or whatever, it'll be so near the election, that they'll get away with it, it'll be too late to expose it as bullshit and there they'll sit in office...making sure no congressional committees are formed and national security smokescreens as their excuse, and they finish off the job of wiping away our civil rights, that the Patriot Act started.

3. Kerry HAS to minimize OBL and place the focus on general "Terrorists"
I just KNOW that they are going to pull something out of the hat. I hope that Kerry makes a strong case that it is Al Qaeda and radical Islamic militants and not necessarily Osama Bin Laden that we are going after.

5. very true...
And also, how close to the election does the "capture" have to be in order for it to seem like a shameless political dog-and-pony show and not some Big Terra Victory?

speaking point by Kerry, and a bit by Edwards...That has to change and the focus on the environment & economic issues needs to be the priority, as well as Bush's disastrous Iraq invasion.

4. Kerry kicked butt last week
Edwards made some good points and by the looks of on-line polls (that I've seen) -- the consensus is Edwards won

bush* spoke in Wilkes-Barre today at the Kirby center (seats about 1,000) -- it was by INVITATION ONLY so you know it was packed with cheering lemmings

bush* was suppose to speak about homeland security/Iraq etc. -- however after his dismal performance last week and a lame attempt to prop him up for Friday -- the speech focused mainly on domestic issues

bush* inc is running scared -- if bush* blows it on Friday we will have at the least a "breaking news" story about the FBI warning of a non-specific vague terra-attack -- but I am expecting a national ORANGE alert

bush* only "asset" is fear

8. Bring it on!
Everything this Administration touches turns to crap. If they want to try something and it backfires (which is more likely than not) they lose.

11. I think we saw it already
That latest swift boat lie that Kerry consorted with the enemy.
But this time the media is ignoring thier bullshit.
You know Rove is behind that group!

He figured it would kill any Kerry momentum and sink him once and for all-- but for ONCE-the media was responsible.

I think we look like a bunch of nut jobs when people seriously say Osama is just sitting in the White House basement, waiting to be dragged out on November 1st.
