Cheney's most obvious,and checkable lie.
It was when he repeatedly said that Musab Al Zarqawi is in Baghdad today, and right now, when Zarqawi is actually, and has been, over a hundred miles away in Fallujah. Again he was trying to make the Saddam link by saying that Zarqawi checked into a Baghdad hospital, set up shop in Baghdad, and is still there today. Cheney said that Zarqawi set up a terrorist training camp, and was making chem/bio weapons, and Dick tried to make it seem like all that had been done with Saddam's approval in Baghdad. I only wish that Edwards had said that Zarqawi isn't in Baghdad,he's in Fallujah. Mister Vice President,if Zarqawi is in Baghdad why are we trying to get him by bombing houses in Fallujah?

1. And along with that, Chimpy insisted today that
Santa Claus is at the North Pole with all the elves, making toys and preparations for Christmas. Chimpy McCokespoon is also insisting that the Easter Bunny will be starting on the eggs right after New Years Day. It's what Cheney told him after all, so he's telling his followers that, and they believe him after having some refreshments, including koolaid.

I'm certain Cheney is a liar and knows it. I'm not always certain * knows he is lying or if he is delusional.

3. The assertion that Baghdad had a relationship with...
... al-Zarqawi is based on the supposed intelligence that he was sighted in villages controlled by Ansar al-Islam in far northeastern Iraq, because a one-legged man was supposedly seen in the region.

What is not spoken much of these days is that those villages were heavily bombed roughly a week prior to the start of the invasion of Iraq in March, 2003. CIA and Special Forces went into those villages after the bombing, and found no evidence whatsoever of chemical or biological weapons development or production.

Much of the history on this can be found at:

http://www.cooperativeresearch.org

My own feeling is that al-Zarqawi is being used as a multi-purpose boogey-man, as a surrogate for bin Laden.

But, without more eyewitnesses being reported on domestic news, I don't think it's verifiable. There's simply too much disinformation and confusion at work these days.

Cheers.

5. Excellent work as always punpirate.
I take Musab Al Zarqawi very seriously, and would like to see more accurate information about him, rather than the distortions, and misinformation of this administration.

6. Point-by-point rebuttals
don't go over well with the public. Really, what would it have accomplished to say he's in Fallujah? That's how Gore lost the debate with Bush, by making points that people didn't care about. Frankly, "No, he's in Fallujah" would have been as ill-considered as "He forgot Poland."
