She couldn't go a day without telling some nasty Clinton joke for MONTHS and MONTHS.

I actually wrote a letter to that show telling them why I would never watch again after she did a feature on some major league catcher that had nothing to do with politics and the first thing she did is ask him some question tied to Monica Lewinsky and "being on his knees." (I never got a response.)

As a result, I haven't seen the show in years except a few minutes of the beginning now and then when it comes on after Ellen DeGeneres and I can't grab the remote quickly enough!

I cant vouch for Viera's political leanings, I did see the Hillary show and she was nice to her, didnt razz her or ask any stupid questions. The little blond furthers the RNC program every chance she gets. It will be very interesting to see how she is with Edwards.

I understood that her husband is a Republican and back when I used to watch, she would repeat all the Republican talking points. Perhaps she's one who has come around.

because I was sick of their ignorance about politics and current affairs. The Clinton jokes were endless simply because they were easy.

the show in general so I don't watch it. I hope they're nice to Edwards and his wife though.

Every time there is something on my local station positive pertaining to K/E the station will not come in. My husband did not believe me but has since seen that it is true. I am going to do some investigating. The area I live in is so right wing anti Kerry it makes me sick.

I just saw where they are also going to have Drew Barrymore on!

...last 2 days or so, when I access DU from TW cable (modem), it's S - L - O - W....

I don't have that problem with ANY other sites, just DU and only on the TW cable connection. (don't have the issue with DSL)....

IntereSTINK....they don't cut off access, they just slow it down - maybe to discourage use. Of course this is conspiracy theory, I have no proof, but it happens often enough to myself and others that there is a DISTINCT pattern...just like with your K/E programs.

and the last couple of days, I get a "denial of service" screen when I try to get on in the morning but every other site I try comes up instantly. Yesterday, it was two hours before I could get on. Today, I did a restart and I was able to get right on. I'm scanning for spyware because I couldn't figure out why DU is the only site I can't get! It sure does make you go 'Hmmmmmmmmm!'

saying can you imagine Cheney playing the Nicholson character and sitting on the witness chair yelling "you need me on that wall", and Edwards playing the Cruise character saying "YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH"! Classic!

...so I guess he proved it again. (When he was on Hardball, he couldn't remember the name of the Shawshank Redemption.)

However, his brother in law (who was in the audience at the View) must have groaned. He's made a couple films and he's a film professor at New York University.

Reminded me of the story on DU last night of a four year old girl who came into the living room and started crying while her parents were watching the debate and said cheney scared her!

I asked them what was going on. The guy that answered was ready with an answer as soon as I said "Why is it every time something positive for K/E is on the TV station goes out or is replaced with something else?" He said "I promise we don't do that" He sounded like a shrill liar. The 60 minutes when Dan had the secretary on explaining where the documents were false but the statements were true,was replaced with a movie, even though 60 minutes was listed. They played the part of her statement where she proclaimed they were false a thousand times on the local news but never showed the rest of her statement. CBS evening news has been moved to 7:00 pm but it is not listed that way. After the election I am going to do some real investigating. What chance do we have when those with power can dictate even what we see?

This is Terrible..we finally get them on shows..to connect with the People and the stations DECIDE they can't be seen..because ..Heavens Forbid..someone might actually Like them! :grr:

I can't believe they replaced Lisa with this flippant ignorant young girl. I now understand why Lisa left this show. She was far to intelligent to have to do a daily show of inane commentary. Her prior experience as a journalist would only allow her to take so much of that and I am surprised that Barbara Walters did not use her talents more to educate the audience of women.
