6. That poll a few weeks ago
the Badger Poll, was totally shit. Somehow, magically, Feingold was up 14 or 16 or something like that, and Kerry DOWN by the same amount, which meant that there were almost 30 percent of the people who were going to vote Feingold and NOT KERRY? Bullshit!

9. Who the hell is behind the "Badger" poll?
The very name almost sounds like a dirty trick.

12. The wierd thing is that the "Badger Poll"
is done by the University of Wisconsin in Madison, hardly a conservative think tank and is sponsored by the most progressive daily paper in the state, The Madison Cap Times as well as the Independent, Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. But needless to say, there poll which gave Bush a 14-point lead was way off base.

16. That reminds me of a Garrison Keillor story where he told his H.S.
principal that his fart (the principal's) smelled like a badger fart.

17. Gallup leans R by about 5 points
Still, it'll help to have something less ludicrous than the Strategic Vision poll to go by.

13. Just remember, we are rowing against the current, so we can't stop
not even for a second.

Friday will be critical to hit the media again on our perceptions of the debate.

14. I never moved Wisconsin out of the DEM column in my model
although the bad polls made me nervous. I just found it impossible to believe that a state that had voted DEM four straight elections would switch to GOP.... due to the "popularity" of this JERK?????
Sorry, it was too much to believe. Kerry will win Wisconsin. It stays in my model along with IA, MN, MI, IL as the upper midwest stronghold of the party.

15. On Wisconsin!!!
I knew it, I knew it. I listen to the Ideas Network of Wisconsin Public Radio all the time and the morning talk show is nothing but a Bunnypants roast now. I know these are the "elite", but I know there's no way in hell this regime could be doing better this year than in 2000 and most definitely worse.

The tide has definitely turned in Zogby and now watch the others either follow or get dragged. By the final weekend, we could be seeing Kerry leads in many states that we never dreamt possible just a month ago.

BTW...when does the next Milwaukee Journal/Sentinel poll come out (that's not the Badger, IIRC)...that one also showed a big Bunnypants lead. If this drops, this state could soon be "out of play".

20. I hadn't heard! This is truly truly good news!
I know I know. Polls go up and down. Can't be trusted. Still, it's good to hear some good news in the polls.
