When Will The AL GOP Learn That They Are NOT Taking Over The Legislature?
I hear all of this BS about Repubs erasing a sizable Dem advantage (63-42 in the House and 25-10 in the Senate) but I never hear of any targeted Dems. Who do they plan on taking out??? They won't be taking over the Legislature any time soon and it's high time they learned that.

1. Any and all
They will do whoever they can wherever they can whenever they can. We saw this last year when they ran the Gloria Dolbare ads in southwest Alabama.

2. AL GOp
I predict that the AL GOP will take the Senate in the next 10 years if there is not as much Democatic support for the overall party as their is now.

3. They've filed a law suit
very similiar to the one filed in Georgia a few years ago to overturn
the way the districts were drawn. The repukes say Democrats have
an advantage. Mark Montiel and two of the lawyers who worked on the Georgia case are doing this one. A couple of things on our side:
this has already survived one court review, repukes also worked on the districting; and Bill Pryor defended the redistricting as AG.

5. The GOP is a threat to take control of the legislature unless
the Alabama Democratic Party becomes more aggressive about defending its majority. Dems control the legislature today only because voters vote Dem in state races while voting Repug in national elections.

All it would take is for AL Republicans to cut a deal with Paul Hubbard and the Alabama Teachers Association would go Republican.

Am I worried? You bet and we must fight to retain control.
