New poll: Siegelman leads Baxley by 8 points
This is just embarrassing:

If the Democratic Primary were today, and you were standing in the voting booth right now, who would you vote for? Lucy Baxley? Don Siegelman? Or some other candidate?

39% Baxley
47% Siegelman
9% Other
5% Undecided

1. what I find really troubling
Is how much better Moore does among younger voters than among older ones. I don't understand that one at all.

2. I'm troubled that anyone would vote for Moore at all.
What are these people thinking?

3. true
But I would've thought that the younger people would be more enlightened. Now that I think about it, maybe it's because the older folks are more experienced with demagogues and have learned to see through them. Maybe the younger people will learn -- but they better step on it.

4. Today's
Young Republicans know the Republican Party as the Christian party. They didn't know it before the religious right took it over. Therefore, they want to see it continue to move in that direction. They didn't know fiscal conservatives who did not use "God" every 5 words. Moore appeals to them. It's also a way for the populist youth to still vote republican. There are a few other reasons, but that's my quick and dirty analysis of it.

7. Does anyone know if the charges against Siegelman are legit?
The only thing I know is that Scrushy is involved and that I know that little house he once owned on the fringe of Cloverdale that he bought for like $88K and sold in a private sale for like half a million...
BTW: is anyone else seeing the blistering of Big Luther by GCW, Jr. on the TV ads? I love it! Even though he has no redeeming qualities when compared to Jim Folsom, it love it when the pugs get afightin'.
Has anone read/heard about Darby's odds of actually getting any votes of AG?
It's odd that the latest Riley ads are now anti-gay...um, I mean pro-family. Surely Moore isn't getting that much of a run for his money!
I hate to admit it, I'm all for Lucy since Jim, Jr. isn't running for Gov., but it looks like Riley has it in the bag right now. Truth be told, for a Republican, he has been an amazingly effective governor, although his office has never answered a single letter or email I have sent him re: ADAP funding. After his big "I'm a real Methodist" kick on equalizing tax burden I am surpised that I have had no answer. I guess HIV isn't big on their totem pole in Monkeygomery...
