Kinda late to be asking this but,
is it legal in AL to force ID before you vote? We had to show a legal ID before we could vote in Mobile this morning.

1. Yeah.
It's legal. You have to show it to vote.

2. I went at 8:30 this am in Lexington, about 20 miles east of Florence,
right on the TN/AL state line and there was a small line. I had my passport in my jacket pocket and my computer printout that one gets when you register. I saw everyone in the line was using it, so I did too. My wallet was recently lifted and I haven't got my new DL yet, and I hoped that my PP would be OK. I was ready to argue: No poll taxes, if it's good enough for me to get into the US/Canada/Mexico/UK/Croatia/France and back into the US...but it was moot.
