well we won Chief Justice and Lt. Governor
Congratulations to Sue Bell Cobb and Jim Folsom!

I'm disappointed that John Tyson didn't beat Troy King -- I really had that race pegged as an upset.

I haven't yet been able to find final figures for the state house and senate races. It looks like the Republicans picked up a couple of seats in the house, but we still have a solid majority.

And damn it, the good guys in Washington took the HoR, and maybe the Senate! :fingerscrossed:

As Craig Ferguson says nightly, it's a great day for America! :)

1. I had hopes for Tyson, too.
I think those nasty misleading ads hurt him.

But I'm really happy that Sue Bell Cobb won!

6. yeah
I think Tyson waited a little too long to hit back. He should have responded to that one ad sooner, you know the one where a woman that he prosecuted for theft accused him of being "soft on crime."

3. Folsom and Cobb victories are so, so sweet. Let's see how
much they can do to straighten things out in Montgomery. I feel a little better about our 10th century court system with Sue Bell in charge.

4. There is hope...
It's almost inconceivable that a state that elected Roy Moore to be Chief Supreme Court Justice could turn around and elect not only a democrat, but a female, for the same job! Congratulations, Sue! Hope she runs for gov in the future...
