Alabama football show on ESPNU this week
6 pm y'all's time, I believe. Half hour behind the scenes show with Saban.

Next Thursday there's a full hour special on Alabama football on ESPN. It's on Wednesday night on ESPNU, but I don't get the U in HD.

Roll Tide. Less than a month!

1. I caught a couple episodes of that
It was pretty interesting, but I thought they spent too much time promoting Dreamland on the final episode.

I wonder if Coach Saban acted any differently than usual when the cameras were there?

There was one particularly funny part during practice, where Saban challenged one of his players to "knock my old ass to the ground." That's not an exact quote, but it was something close to that.

Brian Griese predicted Alabama would go 12-0 during the regular season. I smell a rat. ESPN is usually so biased against 'Bama, I'm not sure I like their sudden love affair with the Tide.

2. It's suspicious, but
the Tide are clearly the premier program in the country. So it makes sense to get on the bandwagon early.

They have mentioned that Florida, Oklahoma, and Ohio State may have a shot at knocking us off, on College Football Live the past few weeks, but nobody really seems to buy it.

I'm predicting we go up against an undefeated Oklahoma in the National Championship game. The Big Twelve looks weak this year, and their quarterback has a ton of experience. If not Oklahoma, then Ohio State, as the Big Ten always looks weak, so it's easy for one team to go undefeated.

3. I'd like to see Bama and Ohio State in the BCS title game
That's what Finebaum predicts, but it has nothing to do with him. Ohio State is just a team that I kind of like, and I've got some relatives up there... though they would be for Alabama, I suspect. :)

We're going to be loaded on offense. I hope the D is going to be up to snuff. Quite a bit of injuries and attrition lately. I think we'll be okay though. Back-to-back seems doable.
