The Division of Elections is at it again
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=132&topic_id=2480100&mesg_id=2480100

Everybody in this state needs to know this. If the election in 2004 was clean and above-board, why are they fighting so hard to prevent scrutiny of the results?

1. Incredible..
I wonder if anyone at ADN or any of the networks will cover this at all?

If it was already in the news.. I guess I missed it. Then again, I didn't catch the news last night and haven't read today's paper yet..

Hopefully if it's not on the news, Kay Brown and Jay Metcalf will make sure the story is covered!

2. I haven't seen it on the news yet...
...but I sent an e-mail to Kay Brown suggesting that they blast the media with it. This is just amazing to me -- they MUST be hiding something.

3. Larissa, thanks for your incredible input
on this issue in that GREAT thread in GD:Politics. I posted bits out of the ADN article this morning. I hope this thing gets blown wide open. Everybody has taken Republican rule for granted so long here that I think these guys thought they could slip this by and no one would notice. I hadn't even thought about the city elections, but it wouldn't surprise me if they had fixed it so that Mark would have continual opposition from the city council. The Lake Otis & Tudor thing and extending the coastal trail come immediately to mind.

I think it's encouraging that the Democratic party here may be finally starting to wake up and fight.
