Meet the Juneau Wolf
This is a lone wolf that has lived near the glacier for over a year. She plays with our dog when we run into her. She's a very lonely soul. Fish & Game tried to chase her back up into the wild before tourist season but she came back. She can't find wolves to join and there are people who feed her in the valley and try to mate their dogs with her. (They think she's a boy.)

She's so graceful. Why do people seek to demonize them? Bears are far more menacing than wolves. They don't go out into the wilderness and mow bears down from airplanes because people are willing to pay big money to "hunt" them.

Please go to http://www.savealaskawolves.org to sign a petition to stop the aerial slaughter of wolves. There's a 59-second video you can watch about this horrible practice.

I saw the hunt on tv this past weekend. It made me sick to my stomach.

2. She is absolutely beautiful...
I'm a big wolf lover, & have supported many causes that affect them, including Adopt a Wolf.

That's a sad story about her being lonely. Can't someone do something like moving her to a better area for finding a group, or finding a mate?
