Local elections in AnchorTown tomorrow..
I'd sure like to see Dan Sullivan booted out, but that isn't likely to happen.. His area must vote on name recognition or something.. x(

I live in South Anchorage and hope like hell that Chris Birch doesn't win.. :puke:

I'm not worried about Alan Tesche winning, he'll pull it off.. but the Wittle/Bauer race scares me.. It was too close last time and you just never know.. I'm hoping Wittle wins again!

Any other thoughts on tomorrow's election? ~~ :-)

2. I voted for Matt
He was my daughter's lawyer when she got busted for having a little pot in her car console at school last year. He's a great guy - got her record expunged by having her do a little community service.

5. It was interesting to me that
all of the bond or financial issues passed, whereas it appears that mostly republicans were elected.

6. LdyGuigue,
Actually, only one Republican was added (Bauer) since Dick Tremaine is already a Repug.

Tremaine gets along well with the mayor well though.. Hopefully Birch won't be another Dan Sullivan x(

Whittle and Bauer have always run close races.. Too bad Bauer finally eeked in by a few votes.

Mayor Begich seems to get along with anyone.. He'll survive. He's gotta be happy about that Convention Center this morning! ;)

7. Yes, I'm sad about Dan Sullivan
I couldn't figure out why the Daily News backed him. My guess is he won mostly because of name recognition.

8. The Daily News has gotten fixated with looking "bipartisan" of late
Edited on Wed Apr-13-05 06:38 PM by Ken Burch
They endorse half the Republican neanderthals each legislative election as well.

They've even taken to endorsing Don Young, ffs.

Half the reason they canned Mike Doogan, as well.

9. They've already got the Voice of the Times
to spew that garbage. I wish they'd grow a little spine.

The only paper that needs three guys to edit half a page.

11. I wish those old windbags
that write for the Voice of the Times would retire and head off for Arizona or Florida. Someplace where they can play shuffleboard and remeness over the good old days.

About time to pack it in boys! x(
