Democratic congressional candidate Gabrielle Giffords officially launched her campaign for the seat now occupied by U.S. Rep. Jim Kolbe in Tucson and before an enthusiastic crowd at the American Legion Post in Sahuarita Tuesday.

The race for this seat is getting larger. After doing some googling about the candidates, I'm still leaning toward Latas at this point.

Giffords is heavily DLC, but already has a constituent base and probably a core groups of volunteers, something Latas has to build.
