dawg was an open buffet. for $500 i would expect a sit down dinner. lol. he raised $500,000. not really much. i think most of the people here with the money are repubs.

i have an uneasy feeling in the pit of my stomach with regard to 06 elections.

someone please make me feel better.:scared:

1. I read a brief article in the Arizona Republican about how the gop is
freaking out, saying they haven't raised either as much money as we have, or that they haven't raised their usual amount and we've raised much, much more then ours--it was a little unclear.

the truth is, however, we have raised alot more then usual, ever since Dean took control of the DNC. I don't know the exact numbers but I've heard it being anywhere from one third to one half more money then we normally raise, not more then the republicans but definitely closing the gap and allowing us to compete in areas and in ways we've never had the cash to.

and besides, this is supposedly the best organized coordinated campaign we've ever put on in Arizona, so couple a newly-energized party with momentum with more money then we've normally had and the situation looks alot better.

3. play on words. it used to be the Arizona Republican, and still sometimes
it acts like the official newsletter of the GOP.

5. Pederson is moving in on Kyl
Do you get emails from him? Check out my sig line, and join.
Whenever I get an email from him, I always feel better.

I'm hoping that some other dems come out and support Pederson...and have
fundraisers that we all can afford.

Hang in there catmother... it's almost time to sharpen your nails :)

6. Their biggest moneymaker is McCain
He's only managing to raise 200K tops at most of his events. And as you say, the GOP has the big bucks in this state so we're not going to get the kind of big checks that they do, though we do get some. Our strength is grassroots and small donations. Be sure to donate whatever you can, even if it's only $10 or $20 to congressional candidates and tell everyone you know to do the same.

Most importantly, push hard for campaign finance reform. We need corporate money out of political races NOW!

7. Baloney. I was there and it was only appetiesers
And $500,00 is peanuts for Clinton. We had a dinner with Hillary for less money and raised a million. Someone needs to lern how to raise money . It would have been better to have more people at less money. But hey, no one at HQ cares. And this was a Pederson event anyway. It would have been nice if Clinton could have met with ALL the candidates, but the candidates couldn't afford the event.

8. Saracat - thanks for the update on that event.
I'm surprised.
I'm sure you heard that Kerry is supporting Mitchell. Hope he makes a little trip our way :)
