How this Tucsonan spent Independence Day
Or at least the morning. One of your fellow (mostly lurker) DU'ers this year on the 4th, engaging in a tiny bit of civil disobedience. Okay, so I only managed it from 8am until shortly after nine before the heat sent me home. My solo march (well, solo after my dear uncle left following my requested photo op for the family archives haha) was repeated on both sides of Speedway between Campbell and Alvernon. Unfortunately, the street was still fairly quiet at that hour, but I wasn't able to make it to the afternoon heat when more people would surely be around. Heard a few supportive honks..did see many more people who either didn't see me (?) or seemed more interested in looking away.

And this former Tucsonan salutes you! :patriot:

What part of town? I can see Tucson Blvd. in one of your pics. I went to Sahuaro High, lived Eastside back then (early '70s). Was living in Tucson 2002-2005 in the NW, Marana, near Cortaro and Thornydale. :hi:
