With support like this who needs republicans?
Yesterday I was listening to KPHX and I heard whoever the guy is say - They wanted to go after Glassman but couldn't because he has ads on their station? Great, good work idiots that is how we win elections. They also went after progressives who have programs on the internet. This is progressive radio?

Needless to say I shut them off!

1. Progressives in Phoenix deserve better
Edited on Thu Aug-26-10 10:33 AM by SargeUNN
Newcomb said during the sheriff's race, "I like Joe (Arpaio), I have no problem with him. When the caller asked about Dan Saban, Newcomb replied, "Oh is Dan Saban running?" This in spite of the fact that Saban spent thousands advertising on the station with ads for Saban running during Newcomb's show. Suddenly yesterday he gets a false loyality saying he wanted to go after Glassman but he couldn't because he ran ads on the station. Nice endorsement that I am sure will rally support for Glassman just like his whimpy ignorance of Saban running while saying he liked Arpaio.

Newcomb and Martin had a lot of needed topics to talk about the day after an election but instead choose to bash another progressive show host and when the story is looked into you find Martin was blocking Dennis Gilman from asking Glassman a question. If Martin and Newcomb thinks that is professional then they are sick.

I marvel that progressives listen to this sick pair especially when you have a Jeff Farias out there available but progressives settle for Martin who once was fired from KPHX and turned off people there because of right wing views. Newcomb I would have to take too long to tell what a piece of garbage he is considered to be in the business, but I sure believe our community deserves better.

2. Meanwhile, on the newspaper front, I had to search for the name
"Rotellini" on the Arizona Republic website in order to find out that Lujan conceded and Felecia's been declared the winner. I guess that's not as important to Arizona readers as "600 pound woman leaves house for the first time" which is one of many inconsequential stories that DID appear on the website.

3. I heard them! They are the new team on from 3 -4 - and all they do is talk to each other and forget
about the callers on the line.

They are awful. I would give anything for Jeff Farias ***AND OUR SARGE*** be on air again. We need SANE local voices, not these clowns that they have on now.
