Rep. Boozman finally answered me in re: Rove
I wrote him about KKKarl Rove's remarks those many many weeks ago. Thought you'd like to read his response:

Thank you for contacting me to express your concerns about Karl Rove's recent comments. It is always good to hear from you.

Like you, I am concerned with the direction that partisan politics is taking our country. I believe that we should continue to issues that are important to the American people and leave partisan squabbles out of public discourse. I think its time to raise the level of debate and stop with the politics of personal destruction. One person's views do not necessarily represent the views of everyone in their party. I appreciate your thoughts on this matter and I will keep your views in mind.

It is great living in this country because democracy is a wonderful thing. Your comments and suggestions go a long way in ensuring that there is a healthy debate on the issues.

Do you read in this that Boozman is distancing himself from Rove?

1. I read it as him saying nothing at all.
And he secretly likes Rove, or he wouldn't have said:

"I think its time to raise the level of debate and stop with the politics of personal destruction."

He privately thinks it's OK that Rove committed treason, but he can't come right out and say it. If he supported Wilson on this, he would have just come right out and said "Joe Wilson had the right to speak his mind without retaliation." Instead, I think he was trying to say Rove got smeared when it came out he talked to Cooper. But he couldn't say that either, so he blurred it by making it sound like he could be talking about either Rove OR Wilson.

When he says this:

"One person's views do not necessarily represent the views of everyone in their party."

He's saying he's tired of der Fuehrer demanding he walk and talk in lock-step to the White House. And he's thinking about 2006 and he's :scared:.

Must be a 'puke.
