UC decides whether to compete for nuclear lab contract
UC has run the Los Alamos lab in New Mexico for the government since it was founded in 1943. UC also manages the Lawrence Livermore nuclear weapons lab in Northern California.
If the university does bid, it will face competition. Lockheed Martin has announced plans to try for the contract, and the University of Texas System is planning to join that bid. Northrop Grumman also has indicated it will compete.
******** Let's just sit back & watch Texas take still more away from our blue state***********
