Quarrel Brewing Over Judge Roberts Memos
Why does this Republican call herself a Dem?

----------------------------------------------

Judge Roberts declined to answer questions on the topic today on Capitol Hill, which he visited for a fourth day of get-acquainted meetings with senators. He conferred with Senator Dianne Feinstein, Democrat of California and a member of the Judiciary Committee.

Asked to clear up the confusion on his role with the society, Judge Roberts smiled but did not reply.

"I don't think he wants to take any questions," Senator Feinstein said, according to The Associated Press.

"No, no, no thanks," the nominee agreed.
