That means the 290-pound 6-year-old is likely to be released today near Point Reyes, said Jim Oswald, a spokesman for the center, which rescues marine mammals in distress.
The pinniped made his way up the Petaluma River more than a week ago, paddling into local waterways for days before hoisting himself a couple hundred yards into a parking lot Thursday. On Friday morning he was back at the shop, taking shade under a Chevrolet Suburban, and rescuers nabbed him.
Personally….I think Shopper is a secret member of Greenpeace and was protesting against SUVs…..
