Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, in the final televised forum before Tuesday's special election, charged Sunday that his opponents were desperately trying to frighten voters out of backing his four-initiative blueprint for change.

"They're trying to scare you and make me look like I want to be dictator of California,'' he said.

Joining Schwarzenegger for the pre-election showdown on KTTV-TV on Sunday night were Assembly Speaker Fabian Núñez and Barbara Kerr, the head of the California Teachers Association. The special election called by Schwarzenegger, they argued, is an unwanted and unnecessary partisan face-off that is ripping the Capitol apart.

The governor's initiatives are the wrong remedies for the state's problems, Kerr said.

This lumbering Nazi beast has made a career out of terrorizing people and now he's accusing the people of "scare tactics"? But then when has hypocrisy fazed a Republican in the last forty years?
