Odd Vote Democratic! flyer

Out of all the election flyers we got, I thought this one was pretty cool when I first looked at it, but then thought it was odd because of some of the props they said yes/no to, particularly 78/79. I was like, is this from the DLC democrats?? Plus check it out, how old is that picture of Phil Angelides!?

I got one too... The local media here said it was a dirty trick...

A group of millionaires did this in an attempt to sink the Mental Health Prop for kids in Nov 2004 (last year). I was flaming mad when I saw that!!

We need to find out who created that and out them as an expose in a major newspaper or TV show.

All those "party slate" flyers are bogus if they don't specifically and prominently say they're from the state or national Dem party committee. I get "Dem" flyers that have contradictory endorsements all the time. Don't try to make sense of them, don't pay any attention to them, don't even let them stay around to collect dust. Shitcan them immediately. The odd pattern of endorsements on that one looks like it's a big pharma scam to make you think that the people who oppose Arnie's collection of trash props also support their trash prop.

Perhaps folks like Angelides, etc. who are "implicitly" made to favor this ballot position by using their likeness and other attributions to them and Democrats to make it appear that they also endorse 78 and want to vote down 79. I got this one last night coming home too.

Also curious that this particular flyer was mailed out near the last day before the election. Had this come out a week earlier, I'm sure someone would have pressured those responsible to issue a retraction. Unfortunately now, the damage may be already done by those voting at the last minute.

This is a slate mailer put out by a sleaze named Thomas Kaptain. An earlier handy mailer of his was challenged in court but he prevailed because the letter of the law was met (the box on the outside with the disclaimer is all that the law requires.)

We need to publically humiliate them by an expose in a newspaper or TV show. Got any ideas? Who would do a story like that?
