McPherson seeks to retain state post in 2006 elections
http://www.sacbee.com/content/politics/story/13870097p-14709538c.html

After eight months of serving as an emergency replacement, Secretary of State Bruce McPherson announced Wednesday that he'll seek the job the old-fashioned way.

He'll run for it.

"There's still much more work to be done," McPherson said. "And I'm determined to finish the job."
McPherson, 61, was appointed by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger in March to succeed Kevin Shelley, who resigned from the $131,250-per-year job amid scandal and uncertainty.

Democratic state Sens. Deborah Ortiz of Sacramento and Debra Bowen of Marina del Rey plan to run against their former Senate colleague.

1. Well, APPOINTED, republican Secretary of State Bruce McPherson counts
the votes...And he already said he wants electronic voting machines in California...Everywhere there are electronic voting machines the polls become mysteriously wrong...but are correct and true to the polls where the machines aren't used.(Not to mention four republican company's own the various machines...they are privatizing the vote...)

2. yeah "finish the job" of screwing democrats.......
by installing fraud creating voting machines with the permission of the democrat accomplices in the legislature who overwhelmingly appointed him instead of appointing a democrat.

fortunately there should be several democrats running for SoS.
