Randy, Cuningham (duke the repuke) pleads guilty & resigns!

PLEASE, let this be "just the beginning" of a great run of successful prosecutions!
SAN DIEGO (AP) - Rep. Randy "Duke" Cunningham tearfully resigned Monday after pleading guilty to bribery and admitting he took $2.4 million to steer defense contracts to conspirators using his leadership position on a congressional subcommittee.

Now I think there will have to be a special election. The Republicans in the 50th district are probably tripping over one another to get noticed.

Meanwhile, Francine Busby has been campaigning since the 2004 election season.

5. She's an excellent campaigner

I have had the pleasure of meeting her several times during the 2004 campaign. I worked for the candidate in the 49th (Mike Byron).
