Christine Craft is back on the radio, but her toughest job is caring for her aging dad

Richard in Granite Bay wants to talk about the Scott Peterson murder case.
So does Mary in Sacramento, and Doug in Citrus Heights.
Christine Craft, headset in place, is jazzed for an afternoon of lively banter. But it seems the radio gods have turned against her. All she can hear, after she chirps "hello" to caller after caller, is the harsh buzz of a dial tone.
"It's too darned hot!" Craft laments. "The phone lines are melting down!"
Craft, as always, is undaunted.
For what is left of her fledgling "Power Hour" radio show on Talk City (1240 AM), part of the left-leaning network Air America, Craft wings it. She offers her opinions on the presidential race, massage therapist Amber Frey's wardrobe on the witness stand during the Peterson trial, and the plight of dolphins. Then she calls it an afternoon.
