Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger plans to spend $2 million in campaign funds to send booklets advising Californians how to vote on several of the 16 measures on the Nov. 2 ballot.
"Governor Schwarzenegger has proven that he has great ability to connect with voters," said Marty Wilson, who oversees the governor's fund-raising efforts. "They are going to want to know his positions on a very wide-ranging and complex ballot."
The five million voter guides will include photographs of Schwarzenegger, explain his positions and include wallet-size summary cards that voters can tear off and take to the polls.
The guides will go to all Republicans, as well as Democratic and independent voters in certain areas of the state.
