We are smokin' in Mendocino County.

There are 90 fires started by dry lightning Friday night in this county. The air is terrible in this valley. Two or three places have had to evacuate. Shelters are set up at Willits High School and the Adventist Junior Academy in Ukiah.

2. So sorry, you've got us beat.
I'm in town so not at risk like people in the woods.

4. I believe we have pulled ahead of you.
Now we have well over 100 fires. In Ukiah, you can no longer see the mountains.

8. No fires here in Placer but damn, we are
getting your smoke. The sun is obliterated and I can't breath outside. I can't see clearly beyond about 200 ft.

14. Hazardous in Paradise
We reached the hazardous air quality level today in Paradise. :( I stocked up on respirator masks this morning.

It's so eerie outside. We were home a week after having to evacuate for the Humboldt fire, and boom. Now this. And, they're predicting more dry lightening.

Stay safe, everyone

17. It's still very bad in the foothills all the way up to
the Tahoe Basin and all the way down to Roseville. I tried to do a little yardwork today, had to go in due to coughing after just a few minutes. I am literally feeling claustrophobic, it's taking a mental toll.
