small area at the LA Ca Zoo .

1. PAWS is a great organization.

I haven't been to their elephant sanctuary but I toured their other facility in Galt years ago, and it's obvious that they care deeply about the animals in their care.

Lets' hope Billy gets moved in with them soon. For their health, elephants need company and room to roam, and zoos can't really provide either.
