Do we want to an all day picnic potluck BBQ ?

Do we want a restaurant gathering ?

Feedback please ... The weather is likely to be very nice .

1. I'd love to go to a restaurant
Make sure they take reservations and that they can let us hang out for a while. :)

2. I like the idea of a picnic
The ones we had years ago were really fun and it gave people a chance to wander around and talk to everyone.

3. Where was the earlier picnic?
I'm on the fence, leaning slightly to a restaurant location near BART so that we can entice more of those city people to cross the bay.

18. Lindley Meadow
was the spot I reserved. I think it was tables 8 & 9. Good memory! It seemed like a long time ago...

8. I'd be happier not going all the way into the City
And parking there sounds like a BEAR.

The east bay, Marin, or CoCo would be better for me. :)

11. Both Tilden and Briones have Picnic tables and BBQ pits

Briones is a first come first serve .
Tilden needs reservations .. But I think
you can have wine and beer at Tilden .
Tilden is also very Dog Friendly.

14. Berkeley/Oakland area sounds great
Edited on Fri Mar-27-09 12:25 PM by wryter2000
There are great parks in the Oakland hills, too.

The dh and I were married in Roberts Park. (We had a keg there, and no one had a problem.) There's Redwood Park, too. Parking can be an issue in Berkeley, too.

16. Kickin' to stimulate discussion of a final location.
I'm inclined to vote for Tilden or GGPark because they have good mass transit access.

What do others think?

19. Hi , I'm back from Arizona
and am tempted just to have people over to my
house for a BBQ at this point .

PM me if interested in coming to my house .
I am close to the Concord Bart Station .
both spiderpig or myself can shuttle people
from bart.

I've had a few PM cancelations while I was in Arizona.

I'm just burnt out on planning at this point .

I have a big pork roast and can make chili verde
and some rice .

I can make a big batch of ice tea .

people can bring anything they want to share .

25. Okay due to low response , I'm postponing this
perhaps memorial weekend or June will be better for people .

to the 2 who rvsp'd you are still welcome as always
but it'll just be me .

and we are looking at dinner being done closer to the evening .

keep your eyes open for another gathering in the next month
or so .

I'm going to keep this up until I can get a big group.

my best
Trish
