Life's getting really tough here now and I'm not sure how much longer I'll have a job before I get fired too. It'd be great to move to another state with a more affordable cost of living, but where to? Anyone else planning on leaving?
I've had four friends move away from CA in the past 5 years - to Idaho, Nevada, and 2 to Washington. Three of them have moved back here.
My nephew's kid just got married and is planning to move into a mobil home on his in laws farm in Montana but he has no clue WTF he's going to do for a living. He'll be back soon as well -with or without his wife.
CA is pretty fucked up after 6 years of Schwarzeneggar but it's not much better anywhere else.
Might want to give it some thought before you jump.
Life is tough everywhere... my cousins in Iowa are having a rough time too. They live in a much bigger house (for less money than I spend) and have to spend a lot on heat in the winter and AC in the summer. WA staters aren't doing much better... I think we all have our issues right now. Moving costs a lot of money too. I'm hunkering down.
pretty much across the board, things should start looking up. It will be a hard road but things will get better. If you think you might get fired, maybe you should try looking for another job in your spare time. It might be better than a move to a place that might be even more economically depressed than here.
I have a few friends that cannot get a nursing job here so they moved to Texas and one of them actually is now working as a nurse. Moving must not be that bad but if you have a family I can only imagine how difficult it would be, especially with the kids already having made friends at school and stuff. But hey, you have to pay your bills. What line of work are you in?
