"Bring Our War $$ Home" Demonstration

Saturday, March 19, 2011, 10:30 a.m. – 12 noon

River Park on the sidewalk at the corner of N. Blackstone and E. El Paso (by Carl's Jr. and the Macaroni Grill)

Hosted by Peace Fresno

Oppose the draining of the U.S. Treasury for WAR

Please spend ONE HOUR standing with Peace Fresno at River Park on Saturday, March 19. “Bring Our Tax $$ Home” is the theme of this demonstration. We will be on the sidewalk near Carl’s Jr. and the Macaroni Grill (N. Blackstone and E. El Paso Ave.) from March 19, 10:30 a.m. – 12 noon. Our presence will remind passersby that our tax dollars, which could be used for to make life better, are being used for one of mankind’s most horrific inventions – war.

California tax payers spent $1.5 Billion for war spending in 2010. The cost of war to U.S. residents since 2001 is $4000 per person (babies included). www.peacefresno.org. We will be joined by Robert Greenwald’s Rethink Afghanistan action - Rethink the Cost.

We will have signs on the theme, our familiar signs, and a few “Don’t Attack Libya ” signs. Use Peace Fresno’s signs or bring your own.
