SF Du'ers....How Difficult is it to Find a job in SF?
I am planning on moving to SF soon. But am petrified after this election that i will not find another job.

Can anyone tell me what the job scene is like?

I manager Customer Service in a Tech Company in NYC.

5. boy that's the truth!
When I lived in SF I'd take any form of housing I could find, rats and all. Totally sucks if you are renting an apt. Got $2,000 a month? If not, how about $1500 for a hole in the Tenderloin?

Jobs - used to be quite a few but from what I know, not nearly as many options are there once were for many.

I spent over 1/2 of my income on rent when I lived in SF for almost 20 years. Now, it would be more like 3/4 of my income for rent.

Yikes!

7. I agree!
The housing is ridiculous!

You may need two jobs just for rent.

Sad, really.

3. Check out craigslist
It's a good place to get an idea of what's out there, and even to start looking for a job.

9. you can find affordable housing
not necessarily in SF but close by

I'm across the bay in Alameda and my rent is reasonable as far as bay area standards go

and we do have the best public transportation systems in the nation
