should we start a recall against Arnold for his "special election"???

now that republican special interest lover arnold has said he wants a special election to promote his anti-union and anti-Democrats special interests money driven ballot initiatives maybe:

since there will be a special election most likely, maybe we should start a recall drive against him to go on the ballot. We could call it TOTAL RECALL.

the plusses: publicity, might fire up the Dems base, and just might get rid of herr arnold.

the minusses: might fire up the out of state fund raising avalanche that he claims he will not allow if people just "ask me to stop", and if the recall fails, it might be bad news from a PR standpoint...the terminator wins again.

ideas?

1. I thought we were against California recalls on principle
I'd feel like a hypocrite if I changed my position just because it would get rid of a Republican.

end up in the dumpster. It's your choice! By hook or by crook, Arnold has to go!

3. never has been my view on the subject,,,,
recalls serve a useful purpose when done for the right reasons..and I think getting rid of arnie for the same reasons he wanted to get rid of davis (always out looking for money instead of doing his job) is fair play.

Arnold COULD do things on his own that would cut the debt but he will not because it will make him unpopular among segments of the voters.

7. Schwarzenegger's term runs through 2007
and it would probably take until then to get a recall rolling. i vote for doing everything possible to expose his special interests--letters to editors, op-ed pieces, town hall meetings, support for the legislators who oppose him. i'm not against recall on principle but without a massive body of evidence i don't think it will work.

8. Arnold's special election will cost $70 million.
Could we get a recall initiative on the ballot for the same election? If so, I think we should do so. There are many more valid reasons for recalling Arnold than there were for Grey Davis, in my opinion--not the least of which is his willingness to waste taxpayer money on a special election to gerrymander California and dismantle programs protecting workers!
