Governor $chwarzenegger is trying to fool people into signing petitions to put deceptive initiatives on the ballot. These will hurt working people and public education, also forcing mid-term redistricting. Arnold’s special election would cost $70 million—and be held on unverifiable, paperless voting machines!

HOW TO “TERMINATE” ARNOLD'S PLANS:

· Ask your organization to co-sponsor the “Don’t Be Fooled” rally and press conference April 1st , 11:30 a.m., County Administration Bldg, 1600 Pacific Hwy)
· Attend the rally. Bring signs & lots of friends!
· Pass out flyers downtown after the rally/press conference.
· Join “freeway bloggers” countywide from 3-6:30 p.m. April 1st. Help alert hundreds of thousands of motorists to “Don’t Be Fooled” by Arnold’s bad ballot initiatives. (See www.VOTERR.org for details.)

law firm rep to reorganize California's elections. Shades of Florida, 2000.

McPherson's transition team includes Adan Ortega, Jr. "an employee" of a firm
(GCG Rose & Kindel) that represents Diebold Election Systems. It also includes
Steve Merskamer, a Sacramento attorney whose firm represents Citizens to Save
California, a 70-million Arnold fundraiser to put Schwartznegger's initiatives
on the ballot, including that which will redistrict California to benefit the
GOP.

I can't believe our Democratic Assembly Speaker Fabian Nunez seems determined to ram McPherson and his pro-Diebold transition team through.

I think we should also be screaming at Art Torres, our State Party Chair, to read Nunez the riot act and get him to tow the party line on this one.


Great job on the gas protest--I'm impressed at the size of the crowd!
