Good LTE in Thursday's Press Democrat (Santa Rosa)
For the people
EDITOR: As Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger is so opposed to unions, perhaps he would like to give up his membership in the Screen Actors Guild? At present, he gets good health coverage for himself and his family, and every time a movie or TV show he has appeared in replays on television, he gets residuals. When he reaches retirement age, he will receive a very good pension and lifetime medical coverage for himself and his wife.

Unions are there to be fair to the people who do not make millions and who do not have clout on their own. For the governor to spend all that money to run those advertisements against the nurses union is disgusting. If he can raise money that easily, why not use it to find the best possible way of solving our medical care problems? We do not need another governor who spends all his time raising private funds. We need a governor who works for the people, not against them.
