5. Dem registration went way up the last couple of years.
I think we are only second to Republican.

4. A closer vote than I'd like, but still blue.
Dobson will become more strident and lose influence. Clark or Edwards will defeat THE CAT BUTCHER.

6. Have no idea.
Since this option wasn't presented in the poll, I didn't vote.

If I had to wager a guess I'd say no. I hope I'm wrong. State leadership, IMO, is addressing the serious "functional" and "operational" problems we have. But, as I see it, our biggest problem is community presence. When you have Nein News, most major newspapers, the ownership/management of every Pro sports team, and every major business organization in Colorado backing the republicans.... that's tough to compete with.

Colorado politics is probably more local than any other state in the union. That is our strength. We need to keep national groups like MoveOn the hell out of our state. Let the local Dems do their thing.

Just look at Denver County, our "Democratic Stronghold". Horrible turnout in 2004. Didn't even muster 80% of active voters. Worst voter turnout of any major county in Colorado. A MoveOn "stronghold".

..I'm ranting...I'll shut up.....

7. Boulder had Moveon and did just fine, thank you.
If Denver had the lowest voter turnout it might be because the election was gamed.

Anybody doing a FOI to look at the poll books, registration, etc? How many precincts had no paper trail?

I think we'll stay red nationally as long as the reds own the vote counting.

8. Boulder turnout was good
But that was a given. Moveon. No Moveon.

So.... the election in Blue Denver County was "fixed"??? Okay. Sure. Whatever.

IMO outside groups did more harm than good. The repukes understand it. Look at the ad buys for Swift Liars in Colorado compared to other "swing" states. Much much lower. Granted, they put the heavy dollars in Ohio, but I think they were very cautious about running their ads here.

Do you think the anti-Marilyn "Kill the Faggots" Musgrave ads helped Stan or hurt him? IMO...it hurt him.

11. I remember the threads here.....
Stan needing paperclips, pencils... I know he was running a Penny and a Prayer campaign. My only point was that I felt the anti-MM ads did more harm than good.

9. Depends really
It was very close this time around so I have no reason seeing why it couldn't become blue this time.
