We need to stand behind Salazar now.

The fact is, FotF is organized and dangerous. While Republicans assert that Salazar is as good as done now, we need to stand behind him, even if we do not always agree with him. The fact is, it needs to be clear that he has a strong base of support. Focus threw the first punch. And I am quite frankly tired of it bein okay for a Republican to say such despicable things about Democrats and liberal organizations and not okay for Dems to stand up for themselves against Republicans. It is time to tell Focus to go to hell.

Salazar should just publically call Dobson a "looney who doesn't represent real Christian values" and never speak of him again - ignore him from then on.

You argue with FOF you make them seem credible. Don't dignify their loonacy with an argument. Just dismiss them as a right-wing extremists.

WE should always do our best to expose FOF for the bunch of looney's they are. Put their looney quotes in front of the public eye as often as possible. Somebody needs to go there and pick up a BUNCH of their printed materials. Lots of ammo there.

It may make newspaper editors happy, but it hurts Salazar's public image to take part in it.

A bit hard to read, but expresses my opinion too.

And I think if you are anti-Christian you are also anti Christ. Salazar didn't say Dobson was THE anti-Christ. The Republicans and the Christian recontructionists will make a big deal out of any little thing they can get away with. Dobson needs to stop whining, after all, he and Frist & Co started this.

Personally, I don't think Salazar should have apologized. These unChristian, un Christlike, anti Christ (pick one) bullies will use anything to bully, badger, and intimidate to force their interpretations of the Old and New Testament into law.


Ken was right to stand up to them. What he said was far more accurate than the "against people of faith" idiocy. I don't mean to sound argumentative, but I do feel strongly about that. :-)

He said that the Focus on the Family politics was "the Antichrist of the world." He later said that he should have said that their activities were unchristian.

As much as we all dislike Dobson and his "Locos on the Family", this was a very inappropriate remark.

Today my pastor, a self avowed "Yellow Dog Democrat", condemned both of them. He even called Salazar a Republican. He said that both are letting their (religious) feelings get in the way of justice.

I, being neither a Fundamentalist nor a Catholic, am just shaking my head at the whole thing.

On edit: The Antichrist, as told in Revelations, is one bad dude. His appearance will signify the end of the world. He is not just antichristian. That is the worst thing you could call anybody of any faith.

I myself would like to be able to stay dignified, noble and rational all the time, but Dobson (and Robertson) get me sooooo damned angry! AAARRRGGGGHHHH! Dobson has helped along the complete distortion of Christianity in the last 15 years, and he has made MILLION$ doing it! He infuriates me.
