Colorado Governor: Ritter (D) 43%, Beauprez (R) 38%
Bill Ritter (D) 43%
Bob Beauprez (R) 38%

Bill Ritter (D) 47%
Mark Holtzman (R) 33%

Still, Colorado has been trending toward the Democrats. And Republicans have been bogged down recently by in-fighting, having to do partly with the nationwide Republican malaise; partly with the passage last November of a measure, Referendum C, that weakens the state's tax-capping TABOR law; and partly with voting procedures at last month's assembly.

4. Are you trying to be funny? I am not getting it...
I am not trying to be a jerk or anything but you are bewildering me. This poll is from June 8th 2006, did you even look at it? It is poll of predicting WHO IS GOING TO WIN in November, not who is going to run. Surely you have seen polls like this before.

5. No I was not being funny
The word was that Marc Holtzman was NOT on the primary ballot. ( I collected a few signatures to get him on).
He is still fighting with the Sec'y Of State. Honestly have no idea why. I heard it was over for him. The GOP in CO don't want him on....though, I'd love to split the votes!

6. Aah, I get it now. Rasmussen cover's your point here...
"Another Republican candidate, Marc Holtzman, is refusing to fade out of the picture, though he now trails Ritter by 14 percentage points and collected only 28% of the votes at the contentious GOP State Assembly last month."

"Holtzman needed 30% to get on the primary ballot, and many party members have urged him to bow out. After submitting petition signatures to force a primary campaign, the Colorado Secretary of State determined that the number was insufficient. The survey was conducted before Holtzman’s petition for candidacy was ruled invalid."

Lets get that guy to run as an independent.

7. He's a millionaire
he really could run independent. I just read another article, that I can't now find, but he was short enough signatures in 2 the districts according to Sec'y of State

8. Nasty Repub Primary?
Hopefully Both Ways Bob Bupray & Holtzman burn up all their money in the primary.

I don't like Bill Ritter's abortion posistion, but I don' think he will change the laws if he wins.
