Was anyone at the medical building near Nevada Ave. in CS today?
I saw someone as I was walking in who was pulling out of the parking lot with a lot of Democratic bumper stickers in the rear window. I said "I like your bumper stickers". Was that any of you?

1. Not me.
Unless one Dump Bush and one John Kerry for President sticker counts.

And I wasn't in Springs, anyway.

In fact, just ignore this post altogether.

3. Don't feel bad.
I don't have any stickers either. I like my car without the key scratch marks.

7. Isn't that a shame
I feel the same and have knuckled under.

In fact, I met a really neat couple last year who live on Green Mountain. The wife taught me a crafting process. Her hubby was a vet and they had a big sign in their front yard - "No War In Iraq". I commented on it and he gave me one. My husband asked me not to set it out because we had some newer picture windows in the front of our house. What a damnable, @#$% shame to be so intimidated.

The first time I ever marched was at 15. I saw Martin Luther King give his "I have a dream speech". And now, I've come to this. A retired old bag who is afraid of getting her windows knocked out. I'm glad to have finally admitted it here. But I'm still ashamed of myself. This administration sucks the giant sized dick.

:grr:

4. Wasn't me either but...
Guess I'm a brave sort, I have many stickers and a funny story.

I have a "focus on your own damn family" bumper sticker on my car, among others like "Re defeat Bush 2004". I was sitting at a light and looked into my rear view mirror and noticed a woman pointing at my bumper stickers. I immediate;y thought "Oh no, here we go" and quickly ran through the yellow light hoping to ditch her. She ran the red light just to follow me into a grocery store parking lot, got out of her car and waited behind my car for me to get out. I took a deep breath and thought "well, OK bring it on!" I got out and she says, "I just had to catch up to you to tell you that I love your bumper stickers!"

I was floored! Since then, I have had numerous honks and thumbs up from people. I think there are a lot more people out there who agree than we think, even here in the Springs. And my car has never been keyed, not even once. Not that it would matter much to my '94 Nissan.

8. Where did you get your bumper stickers?
I especially love the one - focus on your own damned family. Maybe it's time to get over the fearfulness.

9. I Got One of Those At "Celebration"
They're a New Age book store in the 2100 block of Colorado Ave. in Old Colorado City. If you go downstairs, they have an entire wall of bumper stickers.

10. Celebration gets the stickers primarily from evolvefish.com
Which is also based (currently) in Colorado Springs.

www.evolvefish.com

I hear through the grapevine however that they're thinking of moving.
