Here we go again . . .
More snow. I cannot recall this much snow in one season in many, many years. In fact, I'm not sure I remember this much snow, ever. Maybe when I was a little, little girl. ????

Anyway, the past few days of decent melting temps made such a difference! Yesterday, while the sun was out, we finished our front walk. Hard work! Our neighbor, nice as he is, managed to put all the cul-de-sac snow on our front sidewalk while clearing out our street. It was hard, crusty snow & even after a few days of meltage, was two feet deep.

Today, we have shoveled out our back porch twice, our drive & front walk once & will go out a bit later to re-do the drive & front walk & tackle the front & side walks.

;) Good exercise!!! I have muscles I didn't even know existed.

PS - I would say we are at easy 8" of new snow fall. It's light & fluffy compared to the past two snows that were wet & heavy.

What about you????

1. In the Springs
The snow today seemed much calmer. I tend to get big drifts on the driveway when its windy, but today wasn't quite so bad. I think the lighter, less wet, snow helped too. The drive to work was reasonably easy as well, even though all the semis had to pull over and chain up their wheels. However, the drive always gets bad right as I get to New Life on Voyager. Really bad plowing job up there.

I read that New York didn't get snow in December for the first time in many, many years. I think I know where it went. I'm not complaining, it's good for my lawn, the ski slopes and tourist industry, the forests in the summer, and the resevoir water levels. As long as everyone is safe, everything about this snow is good.

2. Looks like more this week!
I have all my walks & drive cleared. Hopefully today will melt those pesky patches of ice so we'll be completely clear by the time more snow falls.

I agree, this snowfall is great for our state. Although, next summer I will still be pissed off when I drive by businesses & residences that are watering their lawn at two in the afternoon. My neighbor does that & he has a sprinkler system. I don't understand why he doesn't set it to water in the evening or early morning.

BTW, what is New Life on Voyager? A club?
