I'm telling you that you can't trust Ritter

Really bad start for our governor.




And now he's changing his story on why he decided to screw Colorado workers.



A politican making vague, overreaching promises he can't keep is one thing, but to blatantly reneg on specific promises made to specific constituencies is a sign of moral failing. I was raised to believe that a man is only as good as his word. You can't trust Ritter.

I know this is hard, even heartbreaking, but it is politics. Politics requires a lot of compromise and waiting and still not getting everything you want. This Obey thing is a case in point.

I wish the religious right would eventually understand that and quit looking for a political solution in their crises and angst over modernity. They will only be happy if they can achieve a theocracy/theonomy, or at least their version of it. But, if achieved, it wouldn't last because they can't keep the politics out. It's like water, it will always find a way.

However you feel about Ritter, he is all we have, we have to work with that. And trying to keep the Dem convention out of Denver...not such a good idea in the long run. Working for good results is hard work. I know you know that. The timing for that bill on the Labor Peace Act was not good. Business interests threw a two year old's tantrum, I do not intend to emulate them. But this is not over.

I look at what Ritter has done and I don't see compromise; I see cynical manipulation of constituencies by the candidate and abandonment by the officeholder. The downside of him signing the union bill would have been negligible and he knew it. His agenda is pro-business.

Until we find leaders who truly support working people, ESPECIALLY when it is hard to do so, this country will continue to decline.

I think Ritter does. Cynical manipulation? I'm not seeing that, truth to tell. Promises... promises. I've been married a long, long time with a good husband. I have grown children, good children. Tell me about promises. There are times to walk and times to stay.
