Bennet sticks with labor
Well. Good, right?

Bennet sticks with labor
Appointed Sen. Michael Bennet (D-Colo.) stood with organized labor Tuesday on a tough vote over the Obama administration's nominee for the National Labor Relations Board — a vote that could have significant repercussions for his election campaign.

Unlike Sen. Blanche Lincoln (D-Ark.) and Sen. Ben Nelson (D-Neb.) — the two precariously positioned Democrats who broke with the party on the vote — Bennet voted to approve Craig Becker, who Republicans assert is too supportive of union interests, including the controversial Employee Free Choice Act.

While the vote was 52-33 to move ahead with Becker's appointment, 60 votes were necessary to break a filibuster.

Republicans were quick to zero in on the vote, since Colorado is a state with a lower percentage of unionized workers than the national average.

1. He also came and spoke with us on Thursday at CWA Local 7777's hall

I had my misgivings about him at first, but I think he's coming around... at least faster than Udall, who did a turn around when he went Senator. He's taking the lead on Health Care reform and a public option.

I'll still be for Romanoff in the primary, but now I'll have no problem voting for Bennet in Nov. if he's the nominee.

During Q&A, I asked him if Lieberman was for real. You should have seen his face! He was diplomatic in answering that. "To answer that... Anybody that believes we ever had 60 votes is very mistaken." It's obvious he doesn't like Holy Joe much.

2. Yes, but he was appointed by the lame-duck Governor Ritter
who has backstabbed labor, however.

That's why my time, my vote, and my money (when I have it) goes to Romanoff.

And Hickenlooper will easily get into the Governor's Mansion.

3. However Ritter fell into the Douche factory...
doesn't necessarily stain Bennet. That's all on Ritter. Don't get me wrong. I like Romanoff. I've met and talked with him many times, but Romy himself wasn't exactly all for unions when he was speaker of the house. I'm still going to vote for him in the primary, but I stopped hating Bennet when he became a champion of HCR.

Who's the teabagger running against Hickybaby?

he should be banished from Colorado, along with Joe Caldera.

Edit: I thought it was Bob Schaffer, although I heard Scott McInnis before. Schaffer is the real bad penny.
