Death row inmates say the state of Connecticut has made waiting for execution almost unbearable.
Today is the one-year anniversary of the execution of serial killer Michael Ross, the first person put to death in New England since 1960.
Inmates tell The Associated Press that no one on death row slept the night Ross was executed. There are seven condemned inmates on death row at Connecticut's Northern Correctional Institution.
Three of them, Daniel Webb, Todd Rizzo and Eduardo Santiago, say they exist in almost total isolation in their 8-by-12 foot cells at the state's highest security prison.
