In the past, state Democrats in Connecticut have not hesitated to hang one of their own out to dry - see Bill Curry in 2002 - by not actively campaiging for the party's nominee. None of the major Democrats in the state actively supported Curry in 2002 - Dodd, Lieberman, Larson, DeLauro, etc. - because Curry had an uphill battle against our corrupt RepubliCON governor Johnny "Hot Tub" Rowland. However, it was not an insurmountable lead for Rowland and a vigorous campaign by state Dems could have helped immensely.
I think if state Dems of prominence get out there quickly and actively, it's more possible that Joememtum drops out.
