Speaker of CT House - Amman - to support Loserman
Just heard it on NPR. Ned didn't "reach out to him" so he is supporting Joe. I think that makes a total of 4 supporters in the Party - 3 US Senators and Rep. Amman

3. Didn't he say that
there's "no time for on-the-job-training"? A reference to "training" Lamont if he were successful in the Senate bid. I think I read that in the Courant way back when.

I'm very disappointed about this though.

4. So what has Joe done with his 18 years of experience?
CT is next to last in getting money from the Federal Government; why hasn't Joe's much hyped bipartisanship with the GOP returned more benefits to the state? Loserman points to keeping the sub base at Groton open, but shouldn't Joe have used his seniority and bipartisan contacts to insure that the base was so busy that no one would consider closing it in the first place? Electric Boat is hemorrhaging jobs, shouldn't Senator Plays - Well - With - Others have gotten more contracts for them? What was the last piece of major legislation that Joe authored and got his Republican pals to pass?

The "on - the - job training" canard is nonsense. Plenty of legislators at all levels have no prior experience in government before their first election. That's why you hire a competent staff.

5. Found the article
http://www.newstimeslive.com/news/story.php?id=1010054

Amann, a moderate Democrat, won his first race in 1990 by just 49 votes, and he credits the narrow margin in part to Lieberman's help in campaigning. "It's in the best interest of my city, which voted overwhelmingly for Joe; in the best interest of Connecticut and the best interest of the nation," Amann said. "These are dangerous times globally. It's not the time to elect someone like Ned Lamont who will need on-the-job training."

You bring up very valid points. Lieberman campaigned for Amann (I believe) so I'm not too surprised about this. Disappoint, yes, but not surprised.
