a Joe supporter vandalized my Lamont lawn sign last night

I awoke to discover that someone had taped a crudely scrawled "I'm sticking with Joe" poster over my Ned Lamont lawn sign. OK, it's not that big a deal - I easily tore it off - but the symbolism of the little vandalism really angered me. It would never occur to me to deface a Lieberman sign or that of any other politician, no matter how much I dislike the candidate. It's a literally unthinkable act for me. Attacking a candidate's signs is more un - American than burning the flag, it's an insult to the process of democracy itself. I can at least understand Joe's anger at being forced to subject himself to the approval of what he thinks are his inferiors, but has Joe's twisted rage infected his supporters as well?

Seems like something they would do. Didn't the College Republics help Lieby out before the primary?

He bussed them in from New Jersey and DC as I recall. The CRs have, in the last few years, devolved into little better than a white supremacist group spending most of their energy complaining about how white people are mistreated on college campuses. Forty years ago Joe Lieberman was a Freedom Rider in the south; he should be ashamed of himself for consorting with these racist College Republican troglodytes.

It was not an activist, like the guy Allen's goons beat up today, but the guy had a good question. It was something like, "How did a man who was a freedom rider become an apologist for torture?"
