Are state Republics trying to move left of the Democrats?
I was listening to WTIC at the end of last week and they had some Republican guest on the radio who was lamenting how underfunded the pensions were for state and local employees and how we had to take steps to improve their situation. Don't we normally have to fight Republicans to fund the state pensions?

Then, this past week, 2 Republican reps introduced a bill to ban trans-fats - which is something Republicans usually whine about with the "nanny state" Democrats.

1. Republicans go left
This is good news although I don't trust them. I think they are starting to figure out that Connecticut is a liberal state. Maybe they will propose gay marriage? I know they won't but maybe they won't fight it as much?
