Big mistake by The Peckinpaugh in CT-2
Janet Peckinpaugh (R-CT)has been touting the fact that she would be the first woman to represent the 2nd district of CT... until, it was pointed out to her that Chase Going Woodhouse held the seat for two terms in the late 40s/early 50s. Big mistake from a woman that was a TV reporter & investigative journalist for a long time.

The race for the 2nd Congressional District has turned into what might be an embarrassing history lesson.

On Friday morning, Janet Peckinpaugh’s Congressional campaign issued a statement saying, if elected, she would be the first woman to represent the state’s second district in Congress.

Her e-mail includes a list of names of people to hold the seat since 1835. Among them is Chase Going Woodhouse, who served from 1945 to 1947 and again from 1949 to 1951.

1. She's a pretty nice person
in person. But I don't think she really has a clue about this job.

Besides, Joe Courtney is a really good guy.

2. I remember a few years back, even
right wingers like Ray Dunaway at WTIC seemed to think Courtney was a good guy.

3. I used to like her. What the heck is up with her running as
a Republican? I was so disappointed to hear that since I never would have thought her to be one.

6. Wouldn't have defeated Courtney
in a DEM primary so she took her luck with running as a repub. My guess, anyway.
